    2011 LR4 water leak - rear gate

Closing the loop here: a bead of clear, waterproof caulk along the crack in my upper tail light has solved my water leak for now. Will replace the unit if/when these winter rains in northern California dry up!

    P0029-72

Oh bummer, mine looks like the photo below. Could yours be the updated 12x14mm connector? Mine measures more like 16x19mm and looks like this...

    P0029-72

@CO-LR4 - any chance you still have that old variable timing solenoid plug connector lying around your shop and would be willing to sell it? I came to the forum searching for my P0010-13 code (Intake (A) camshaft position actuator - circuit open) and was about to order a new solenoid + updated...

    2011 LR4 water leak - rear gate

@LocoPetey did you ever find the culprit of your leak? Old thread, I know… but I’m trying to track down a leak that is resulting in a soaked right-rear corner of the trunk area. My seats are folded down for trunk space, and the wettest part is the right-rear corner of the trunk with just a...

    A/C Blower Issue

After fixing the wires leading to the resistor, my blower is working correctly again. Thanks @ryanjl for pointing me in the right direction. Thankfully, it doesn’t look like there is any additional wire damage back there behind the glove box. I did notice some foam in resting atop the cabin...

    A/C Blower Issue

Might be moving from bad to worse over here… noticed a couple mouse droppings on the passenger floor mat while opening things up ahead of swapping in a new resistor. Photo attached suggesting compromised wiring. Will investigate…

    A/C Blower Issue

Our front hvac blower began exhibiting a strange behavior today - it suddenly no longer turns on unless the fan speed is manually turned to max (and then it blows strongly, as normal). Rear blower functions normally. @ryanjl - after your adventure here, do you think this failure points toward...

    SAD ENDING TO OUR LR4

I had a similar situation with my insurance totaling my 2012 LR4 a couple years ago following a front-end impact. I think it took the insurance company a week or two to get me their valuation, and then I had 7 days to decide what to do... meanwhile I paid a trusted shop out-of-pocket to do some...

Be honest! What's the deepest snow you've driven in with your LR4

In dry snow with Hakkapeliittas on my 2012, the upper limit is way out there... I'm routinely setting tracks for others in the neighborhood and up in hills. However, we get some slush out here from rain on snow, and I find those conditions really tricky for any car and especially the LR4. When...

    LR4 2010 Suspension height issue

It might be worth a quick email to Patrick / GAP support ([email protected]) to see if he has any ideas for you. If you email him, include the full text of the fault along with the ECUs list which you can export from the app. My 2012 manual says this for U3000-53: "This is not a fault...

FYI fan relay went bad at 98k

I'll be doing both my 2012's mounts soon and bought the 2 mount kit from FCP Euro for about $100 a couple months ago. I believe it was this kit: https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/land-rover-engine-mount-kit-corteco-538639. I sourced new mounting hardware from a dealer. I took an afternoon to do...

    LR4 2010 Suspension height issue

Have you tried the guided suspension calibration routine in the Gap tool? It guides you through calibrating the height of each corner by measuring from the center of each wheel up to the wheel arch. If calibration doesn’t solve it, perhaps a height sensor needs replacing?

Suspension faults - C112F and C1130... and height sensor issue?

Thanks @ryanjl - went ahead and shaved off that plastic bit and the new relay is working. Old one into the spares bin. Only other issue I discovered as I buttoned everything up was that the hole on the bottom of the compressor mounting plate was not threaded... would need to tap it if I were...

    LR4 strut part numbers

After just crossing 125K miles and coming up on my 2012's 10th birthday, I'm looking at swapping in all new air struts. Arnotts seem to be the current consensus, but I'm wondering if anyone has recent experience with BWI? My rig's OE air springs carry BWI branding, and searching around I see...

Suspension faults - C112F and C1130... and height sensor issue?

I got a new AMK compressor in today. A couple points that could help the next person with a 2012 or older upgrading an "old AMK" style compressor: * After cutting the compressor feed pipe to accommodate the new air link pipe, it was a pain to get the air line insert installed... eventually I...

Suspension faults - C112F and C1130... and height sensor issue?

Right on, I've seen you post previously about that desiccant issue and I'll give my valve blocks a look & clean. Thanks a lot for the tips. I'll get a new compressor on the way and will report back on whether that change keeps the faults at bay.

Suspension faults - C112F and C1130... and height sensor issue?

Yes, sorry I should have specified that I did remove fuse 26 in the engine compartment before letting it sit. Both rears dropped 10mm and one front dropped 5mm and the other 10mm. I plan on replacing o-rings in valve blocks as part of this suspension maintenance - is that the typical source of...

Suspension faults - C112F and C1130... and height sensor issue?

Absolutely. There’s no verdict on whether current AMK vs Hitachi is preferred, right? I see FCP and RME have both in kit form that come with new mount, tubing, drier, etc. If there’s no clear winner, I’ll just go with AMK since that’s what I have now (I have the “old AMK”). As for leaks...

Suspension faults - C112F and C1130... and height sensor issue?

We took our 2012 LR4 w/120K miles out in the hills yesterday. The 20 miles off road were mostly tame, but I was in off-road height the whole time for clearing rocks and getting over water bars. After 5 miles or so, I got the amber "suspension warning" light and had these codes: C112F-72 (68)...

    P2406 & P061A

I had P061A turn up last week after removing the air intake ducting while working on a cooling fan issue. Cracked fan shroud? Engine jumped off mount?!

The end of the story, for now at least! The vehicle had been working well for the past few days, engine mount nuts are holding tight, cooling fan working great. The strange fault codes went away after I fiddled with the coolant temp sensor (I read so many other forum posts about its strange...

Cracked fan shroud? Engine jumped off mount?!

Update - Both left and right engine mounts were missing their securing nuts. Who knows how long the engine has been just floating on the mounts waiting for an incident like this throttle on/off/on event to rock the engine off the mounting stud. Perhaps the shop that lifted the engine out a...
