Update, got quotes from local dealer and another independent shop, both were higher, but all agreed with the diagnosis. Lead tech at dealer was helpful in giving me comfort that this is a relatively common issue in high mileage LR4s and once fixed should be no issue with it moving forward...- SwampMonster

Received very sad news today. Going to be expensive either way, but appreciate your advice. High pressure fuel pump/s And vacuum pump failed, fuel pump threw metal shavings into injectors, and knocked it out of timing. 100k+ miles, Recommendations for proactive 'repairs'?
So, my 2010 LR4 just crossed over the 100k mile mark. As I love the truck and would like to extend it's usable life as much as possible, I am thinking hard about proactive repairs and prevention.
