System reboots every 6 seconds, and goes back to main menu. Sounds disappear for 1 second.
If I’m listening the radio, when system reboots, display goes to 87,5 Mhz for 1 second and back to previous frequency set up initially. This is very annoying.
I have tried everything, disconect the battery, change the battery, touch positive with negative with battery disconected, change fuses, etc,
please need help with this problem.

I had a similar situation when the sunroof leaked onto the centre console and onto the passenger floor. The connections at the back of the head unit were affected. I disconnected, contact cleaned, then reassembled. Its working fine now.

Had it not I would have read the codes and begun the long troubleshooting process...

Thanks very much for the information, about 6 months ago my car’s sunroof leaked to the passenger’s side floor, so it may be the cause of the problem. Do you have any pictures of what you did (Disconnected and contact cleaned). Maybe I can try to fix it myself too but I don’t have any idea where to start.

I had issues with my radio head unit where it wasn't saving the last station listened to (or favorites)... I ended buying a replacement head unit on eBay and have never looked back, here's the thread which also has some links on how to get in there (it's not terrible if you're somewhat handy):

Thread with the links:

One key thing is to loosen up the center console as that helps remove the two side pieces around the radio. I still have my old head unit if you need another unit to test but obviously it comes with the caveat that it doesn't store stations but it does/did work.

Thanks very much for all the replies here, this radio issue is really stressing me out.
I did try a couple of things, like resetting my car unplugging the battery for like an hour, I did remove the fuses for the radio, telephone, multimedia, etc and radio receiver but non of it worked.
Can somebody else help with other ideas on how to resolve this issue?
I did google this issue and found many people had this same problem but nobody really wrote how they resolved it.

(Check the pictures below)

Thanks very much in advance,

George,

I don't think it's a fuse issue; otherwise stuff just wouldn't work. My advice is to get in there and have a look at the unit, does it look clean? Don't overlook the eBay option as it's really not that difficult to replace once you're in there. I'm sorry this is stressful. Just take your time.

I don't have any photos of the job but you can follow the videos posted above, here's the back of the unit:

Yeah, sounds like either your audio unit or touchscreen is toast. One of them is causing the other to crash. Thankfully, you don't have to be too mechanically inclined to removed either module. The audio unit requires a little extra work because you sorta start at the top with the touchscreen and work your way down to the audio unit.

That said, as others have pointed out, there are plenty of video about how to take the dash apart. PowerfulUK does a great video when the install their 12" display, and I think they do one, "just so you'll know how."
