My wife’s LR2 is leaking coolant at one the hose connectors to the heater core. The one closest to the passenger side is leaking. I’ve turned the gray locking ring and repositioned the hose and turned the gray ring back but it’s still leaking from that connection. Is this common for those quick connects to fail? I’m planning on replacing the hose assembly. Looks like I can access well through the wiper panel and under the module. Anyone have experience or suggestions with this type of failure? Thanks! Have you fixed this issue yet? I think you can try to install the new quick connector and hose or take it to dealer to check.
This post matches my situation so directly that I thought I had made the initial post and simply forgotten about it. My wife has the same year/vehicle. Let us know what you find. I have read somewhere that this is a thing with the lr2, and there is a kit. I haven’t explored that solution yet, I’ve just been topping off the reservoir about once a month. Good luck! Sorry, didn’t realize there had been inquiries on this post. I purchased a replacement hose. It’s a small section that connects the heater core to the system with quick connects. LR parts counter rep said it’s a known issue with those connectors. Took a little manipulation of the hose to get it into place. Had to remove the wiper arms and cowling to access the hose. Took just a few hours start to finish. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
