Hello, I purchased my vehicle in September. In October the engine light came on & upon cranking it it goes to 3RPM & stays there for 10-15 seconds then goes back to normal 1RPM. I drive it only on weekends as it’s our second vehicle. I took it to a mechanic who specializes in European motors, he solved the issue, but the problem is back. Does anyone know what causes the high idle to happen? How did the mechanic do a quick fix? Yes, my next stop is the LR dealership, but I want to know what argument to present to the mechanic when I see him on Tuesday. Diagnostic codes:
