2018 discovery sport tailgate locked open

Hi, was getting ready for road trip to visit family and had the tailgate open while I was loading the vehicle. Went to get the dog and the tailgate lock was in the locked position and I can’t shut the tailgate. I hear the switch working when I depress the button above the license plate. Any ideas to release the lock or what the problem is would be greatly appreciated. Thanks...2018 Discovery Sport

Hi,

I am having the same problem! I am pressing the tailgate button to close the boot, I can hear a clicking sound and it's trying to work, but not closing. Did you find a solution at all? thanks
