Heading to some Utah rock crawling and am curious as to others experience with the dastardly 19" rims. Obviously would prefer the tire choices and extra side-wall of an 18" (or smaller!), but not what I have for this trip. Running the Goodyear DuraTracs, not the Kevlar's I'd like, but ok for careful crawling.
Does anyone run similar and "air-down" for off-roading? Know the benefits, but debate the increased exposure of the diminished sidewall. Would be nice for the miles of approach washboard as well.
Thinking of going down to 20lbs, not so much that they need bead locks, but enought to soften the ride and expand the grip.
THOUGHTS?
