Anyone running 20" BFG KO2 without mods? And, there's a new BFG 20" tire option.

Anyone running the 275/55/20 KO2's without modding their wheel well or grinding down frame horns etc?
I'm well-versed in all the wheel/tire threads on here, but I don't think I've seen anyone who've run these
without cutting stuff up. I'd love to get a first-hand account if so.

I'm currently running Nitto Terra Grapplers on my 20" 2012, which I've been happy with as a no-brainer option. But, the KO2's
are still my ideal. I'm not going to mess with the frame horns so I'm just looking to see if anyone has gone for it
and could share their experience. Whether you just get some rubbing at full lock that you can deal with, or it goes beyond that...

Looking at the BFG site, I'm just seeing they have a new tire option, the Trail-Terrain T/A. It comes in a 255/55/20 with a diameter of 31.0", so it might be another good 20" option. It looks like it's quite a bit less aggressive than the KO2's though. I'd love to see one of these side by side with the Nitto Terra Grappler for comparison.

Hello, I am currently exploring the 255/55R20 Toyo Open Country III and came across the BFG Train Terrain T/A, which did catch my attention. My first step is to see if the 31 inch tire can fit in the spare wheel area fully inflated (I have TPMS) with the tow hitch adapted mounted. Will have an answer in a couple weeks. I am ordering "1" Toyo tire from Tire Rack and then having it mounted to see if it will fit. If it fits then I plan on running the 31 inch tires without Johnson rods.

Not in the same size as you're interested in, but i just got the Toyo Open Country III in a 265/60/18 about 3 months ago and have since done a big road trip from LA to Yellowstone and back with a lot of off-roading in between. My experience is fantastic by off the pavement and on the freeways. I recommend.

I’m running Lexani Terrain Beast 275/55/r20 no rub whatsoever. Stay as close to 31” diameter as possible and select a tire without to much sidewall tread and your golden. No mods

Thank you both. Very good to know the Toyo performed well on and off the highway. My single tire arrived (Toyo Open Country III 255/55R20) on Saturday. I will get the tire mounted then try to fit the tire, fully inflated, into the spare tire area with the LR tow hitch on.
