Hello everyone - '06 LR3 with the HK sound system.

We've been enjoying playing iPhone tunes through the aux channel. But all of a sudden today can't access AUX through the radio console...

With each push of the AUX button the radio should cycle through the two SAT channels then back to AUX. But no dice... meaning no tunes! Or radio, for that matter. The FM and AM buttons cycle through their two settings as expected... except no audio at all. And AUX is stuck on SAT.

That's why I'm here. Has this happened to anybody? Any quick fixes? Am I stupidly missing something? Or should I start looking for a new head unit—REALLY not looking forward to a full replacement.

Thanks for y'alls insights.

I have not had your problem but since I have never used the aux channel .....

What I have had is the "no radio" just silence. For me, this often happens when the starting battery has been replaced and I start the engine for the first time after the install. No audio, but the display shows a radio station signal etc. Basically, the radio is muted.

Also for me, this can occur when the alternator is replaced or the electrical system is fooled around with. I think it has something to do with abruptly de-powering the vehicle while the power off delay circuits are still powered up. Hence the doc below says to make certain all has gone to sleep before one does the hard reset procedure. This means all doors shut and remain shut but have the drivers window rolled down as one never knows what the locking system will do or not do.

So far, both fixes as below have seemed to work for me:

a) do nothing and drive as one would normally and maybe within a week or so, the radio will magically start up.

b) do a hard reset as instructed below in the doc. Basically, the hard reset is discharging some of the capacitors that retain error codes and the like. When you next start up, the radio should have audio; the presets will still be there but the clock will have to be reset.

My theory as to why a) works is that with every startup, various of the error codes fall off from memory chips and eventually the whatever code that is muting the radio is erased as well. Re b) discharging the capacitors erases the error codes all at once.

I've got something (from PO on my '06) suck in the CD player and don't know if it's possible to unjam it. Any ideas?

I am assuming that it is a CD that is stuck in your HK 6CD-465 head unit?

If so, about all I can suggest is the Eject Multiple Discs instructions on page 48 of the LR3 Audio System booklet per the attached pdf segment.

Yeah no dice. It said "CD ERROR - PRESS EJECT" which I did and got the same result. I have a feeling that something other than a CD got jammed in there. I'm not the original owner of this one, so I am not sure.
