Well, we all have our ideas.
I've learned that if there's a question about the battery health, just change it already. In another forum, a smart person came up with ITBS (its the battery, stu...)
And that a maintainer has one thinking the battery is good, when in fact it isn't.

Sounds like you figured it out, but also battery connections can be an issue as well. Especially in a situation like this where it started fine, then completely quit seeming randomly. It’s cheap and easy to clean a retighten connections before dropping $200+ on a new battery.

I just over $200 on a new battery and my 2011 5.0L Range Rover still doesn't stay on. Sqitters studders then turns over but immediately dies afterwards? At first I thought automatically it was a fuel issue because it was low so I added a few more gallons and still nothing? Therefore I was pretty sure it was a charging issue and went and got a brand new battery? Still studders and kicks over followed by an immediate shut down? What is going on?
