I am going to replace a thermostat in my Disco ll and I keep reading about bleeding the air out so engine does not overheat. How do you bleed the air out of a engine. Thanks

First welcome to the forum.

Easiest way is to park on a hill or grade or a set of car ramps (front end in the air). After work is done fill the reservoir tank. Start the rover and turn the heat on full. Let it run for 5 to 10 minutes (at least long enough for the heat to start getting hot. Shut then engine down let cool for a bit and refill tank repeat until you don't need to add fluid (always use either a 50/50 mix antifreeze or distilled water only).
