I recently got a 2011 Range Rover Sport HSE and I want to stream spotify from my android phone to the car. I've seen many posts about this but I wanted to see what the most recent info is on a workaround for this problem.

I have tried connecting my phone via the USB port, but I get a "device error". I think I've seen online that this USB port can only play from a USB thumbdrive.

The most common solution I've found in the forums is the Bovee 30-pin ipod connection to bluetooth adapter. Would this work for an android phone playing spotify? Is there a cheaper alternative out there (the bovee is like $80)?

I bit the bullet and bought the bovee. You still have to turn the volume up considerably but other then that it works perfectly. That's the only non plug in option I found
