I noticed my 2010 headlights (HID)were getting dimmer. Considering it is a Canadian model with the headlights on all the time this wasn't too surprising after 7 years. I replaced the bulbs (still both functioning) with new Phillips ones. The output was improved but not as good as it should be. In fact the first thing I noticed going from my LR3 to the 4 was the less effective lights. The Lr3 lights used to a little dance both left to right and up and down. The LR4 lights only dance left and right. It seems the LR4 light pattern is set lower. Were there complaints with the LR3 blinding people?

When I was replacing the bulbs I noticed there appears to be a light cloudy film on the outside of the projector lenses. Any idea on how to clean these short of removing the headlights, warming the outer covers and attempting to separate the outside plastic from the rest of the housing? Are the projectors removable? I have the adaptive lights so the projectors are motorized.
