Cylinder 5 misfire rabbit hole

Hey guys, new LR4 owner here.

Took a gamble and picked up a 2011 LR4 with a misfire probably paid too much, but here we are. I started diagnosing it and pulled the injector; it flowed fine on the bench. Checked compression, and cylinder #5 is only showing 25 psi.


Anything specific I should be looking for? I am planning to scope it and will post some pictures soon. Hoping its just a hung valve or something simple.

Has anyone dealt with this before? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I'd test the coolant for combustion gas.

Well found the problem, guess I will be pulling the head off

Yeah. Working on pulling the head to see what else is damaged.
