A little update worth just over $10k. Took it to an independent exhaust shop. They don‘t believe it needs manifolds, but does need new catalytic converters. This for about $4200. Still a lot of money, but much better.

The dealership is just covering their a$$.
If you took it somewhere else - after you had the recall done- and they pointed all that stuff out. You would be raising hell at the dealership. No?

You do not have to approve anything you don't want.
Just my $0.02

Are you in California? Because this would be the only way I could see shelling out that kind of money for cats, especially in a day and age where cat theft is rampant.

If you’re not required to be CARB compliant, just get some high quality aftermarket cats for $500.
