I would have yours recored with a thicker core added plus add a standard radiator drain **** to the lower pipe stub on the radiator. This makes life easy on draining the system for hoses or other repairs vs fighting with removing the lower hose POS B/S.
I just saw a 96 and 98, the 96 had a new rerplacement was clean inside at Pick N Pull.
Both vehicles went to the crusher with the radiators still in them.
Asking price was between $45 and $55 each. Useless for my 5 speed.
I paid $10 for a spare engine oil cooler off a 95 for another PS project.
A mint alloy rim with a almost new Michelin 255/65/16 tire for $32 out the door.
This matches the same tires I installed plus no more steel spare wheel on the back door.
