I need help, I replaced my Distributor Cap and I cannot start the truck again, it turns over fine, but what I think is wrong is that I do not have the ignition wires in proper sequence on the distributor...does anyone have a good picture of their engine bay that clearly has the wires all plug in? I used the picture in the manual but I am worried that I still have it wrong...

Thanks in advance...

OK, I'll try and talk you through it. Open the bonnet and face the distributor. The leads on the right hand side of the distributor, from front to back are, 1,2,7,5.
The leads on the left hand side, from front to back are, 8,4,3,6.
Also ensure that all your leads into the distributor are pushed in tight.
BTW, why did you need to replace the distributor cap?

What about where the wires have to cross each other? I replaced my wires, was being so damn careful, replacing one wire at a time, but still think I screwed it up. Wires are on the cap and plugs ok, I followed the manual, but I'm concerned they may be crossing where they aren't supposed to. It seems to be running rougher after I replaced them.

Thanks, Summer
