    I found electric running boards on eBay, fit Range Rover sport and defender sport..
    Could they work on l462?

    If you ever plan to use your D5 in its natural habitat you should install rock sliders. Electric running boards are for soccer moms and real estate agents.

    I'll take the blame for that come-back. There are, of course, other reasons why someone might need electric running boards, such as family members or other frequent passengers who have disabilities or are vertically challenged (including small children). In such cases a running board (electric or permanently deployed) provides more safety, stability, and convenience than a portable step-up platform.

    True, get fixed ones then. Movable cheap ones? Chinese electric crap. What could go wrong?

    My wife is just plain hot...
    But I think i like the rock sliders idea better...
