So mammoth session replacing the radiator hoses and coolant today working on the street. Oh joy.

While underneath the left hand front corner to disconnect the radiator bottom hose I noticed a non trivial leak of what I thought was engine oil from an area above the pulley above the alternator. Hard to see exact source from beneath or from above. Does an engine oil leak of this type ring bells with anyone?
It's a 2010 V8, 208k km. It uses a little bit of oil, but nothing major. It also leaks some tranny fluid from what appears to be the front of the transmission i.e. the cross member in front of the transmission pan and the pan underneath are routinely wet. I monitor this every 5k km oil change and may top up with 250-500mL fluid (1/2pt to a pint).

Any thoughts anyone?

Obvs as I was replacing the radiator hoses I neglected to buy the tranny cooler hoses. A job for another day I guess. All hoses that came off looked okay, but happy to have peace of mind (Toronto, Canada re. Climate).

Power steering resevoir is directly above that area. Maybe trace and check the lines down to the power steering pump?

I think the timing chain cover is the likely culprit (or nearby parts of the valve cover). they’re pretty common. Doesn’t look like a major leak, but you do want to keep the oil off the alternator and belt - can’t tell from the pic if it’s getting on there or not.
