Evoque Dynamic 2015 door mirror fault

Hi, Everything was working well till yesterday morning. Now when I put the car into reverse the driver's door mirror tilts upwards (as if I'm in a forward gear) and when I put the car into 1st (or any forward gear) the driver's door mirror tilts downwards as if I'm in reverse. The passenger door mirror works properly but the driver's door mirror is working "backwards". I feel this is dangerous as when I'm driving the drivers mirror is useless as it is pointing downwards and I can't see behind. I know that I can use the door mirror control switch to manually move the mirror to where it should be but I can't do that every time. Help - any ideas?

Thanks for the info, I used the basic procedure as outlined in the owner's guide. I switched on the ignition but didn't start the engine; then put the car into reverse and adjusted the mirror using the driver's door controls. Then put the car into neutral which should "save" the reverse gear setting. Then I repeated the exercise by putting the car into 1st gear. So that should sort out the problem. No idea why the settings went wrong in the first place though.
