Flashing Parking Brake light on dash

Hey guys,

So starting last night I noticed that when I started up the LR4 the ebrake (which was on) started flashing. It happened the same time as both of my headlight bulbs burnt out. I just replaced the headlights today but I'm not sure if it's related in any way. Has anyone had something similar?

For reference: 2010 LR4, 135,000 KM
Just did the brakes about 2 weeks ago as well.

I'm going to speculate that, unfortunately, it is likely the parking brake actuator.

Ours failed over the summer with the brake locked on. Other symptom was a loud squealing from the rear brakes, like the sound of a rock in the caliper but on steroids. Cost a bit under $1k out of warranty.

If your P brake is off, leave it off! If it's on and you hear the squeal, immediately shut down, pull up the center console/cup-holder and manually pull the brake release cable (it takes a surprising amount of force to release, keep pulling, it won't break).

I had the same issue as you and had to replace the parking brake actuator kdegLR4 on my 2010. Fortunately it was under warranty.
