freelander imobiliser problem

Hi all,

I removed negative lead fom battery to replace alternator. on completion my imobiliser has kicked in. Key fob works,locking/unlocking the key locks/unlocks all lights are on dash but will not crank. I have re-sync the fob. tried locking unlocking door slowly but no joy. any help?

Have you tried to lock/unlock the door with the key? This will sometimes fix the issue if you lock/unlock 4 times with key.

Hi,
Tried this but didn't work. I dont understand how this happened when the negative lead was disconnected.
