I was chasing the runout issue on my rotors and along the way I pulled the caliper pins to clean them up and re grease them. I paid no attention when pulling them out and only notice when cleaning that the pins are different. One pin has a rubber grommet on the end. The service manual makes no mention of this. Any idea which pin is upper and which is lower?

Are you also going to clean the other side? Maybe check there when you disassemble?

Finally figured it out. The service manual shows the same style pin but in the warnings it mentions to place the "bushing" pin in the bottom.
