Hi All,

My 2015 is still outstanding on the fuel output flange recall. I called the dealer to ask about other services while the fuel tank is dropped.

I have a little over 100k miles, and the fuel filter is due for replacement. They said they can do the fuel filter for the cost of the part plus 1/2 of labor. I'm good with that. However, I wanted to check with you all about replacing the fuel pump as well. Seems like a good preventative measure to take since I would only pay for the part (~$500). Thoughts? Anything else while the tank is dropped?

Thanks,
Jamie

If you're doing the fuel pump, replace the fuel senders too.

I asked them about the fuel filter and they said it was not included. New o-ring, new support for fuel filter, and screw-top thing was included. Do you know where I can get the procedures and parts list for the recall?

Good call on the senders. I will see about adding those as well.

Thanks!

Sweet. Thanks for that. Saves me a few hundred!

Edit: Found the full recall info, including parts.

Assuming JLR corporate reimburses the dealer for the recall service, it boggles the mind that they would attempt to double charge.

Good grief.

Had the dealer double check and they said again the fuel filter is not part of the recall. Called another dealer, they said the same thing. Called a third dealer and they said it IS included in the recall.

I sent the recall that I attached in a previous post to the original dealer since they are local to me and the others are a few hours away. I'm waiting to hear back.

In that document, there is a section under the parts list that says "SROs". Anyone know what that means?

Now the original dealer is telling me the fuel filter is included in the recall. So they quoted me $570 for the fuel pump and are sending me the cost for the senders. Will need to pay for the extra labor, so about an hour at $215. Hopefully under a grand all said and done.
