Has anyone ordered from The Cold Air Intake Shop? I found their site online and they have our K&N Airfilters for under 40 bucks plus free shipping on orders over 50 bucks. I was going to get the K&N Air and Oil Filter from them. I haven't heard of them and wanted to check them out. Also with all this talk of K&N Air Filters on another thread, I wanted to bring up the question of gas mileage. I am not so worried about more power, it would be nice, but fuel effiency is important to me. I want to make my rover as fuel efficient as possible. So if you have any tips on this goal please by all means bring them on. Oh just in case you guys are going to want to say "well you knew when you bought it...." I know that just trying to always do better that's all.

Thanks,
Terry

not that it will help much, because your either stock or your not and few people are going to change after the fact, but the more off-road equipment you add, aka. bigger tires, winch bumper, roof rack, blah blah blah ... the worse your wind resistence and weight. You could add a more freeflowing muffler, which helps maybe a tiny bit, but unless you drive your rovers a hundred thousand miles, you will probably never get your money back from the fuel "saving" No one ever wants to hear this, including myself most of the time, but automakers really try to make their vehicles as fuel efficent as they can for the drivetrain that they are using, obviously LR could start using v6s, but for the parts they use they are getting about as good as they can....If other people can contradict me please do.... I would love to have better mpg.

Do you have a D1 or D2?

My D1 SE7 is getting around 18 or so on the Highway and 14 to 15 in town.

I currently have a very free flowing exhaust: headers and a flowmaster 40.

I have a cold air intake from airforceone.

I am currently running 30 inch tires, going to 31's soon.

I also have Rock sliders with Nerf bars from RTE installed.

I also doesn't make much difference if I run by myself or with the family. Fuel economy is about the same.

* almost forgot I also don't run with a factory fan (currently don't have one installed, but will be installing an electric this summer.*
