Hood Open Warning

Hi, all,

My '06 LR3 has the Hood Open warning, but the hood is apparently properly secured in place. It seems that I remember a certain indicator or sensor that need to be replaced. Does anyone have any info on the part number and procedure for replacing it?

Also, don't set your alarm - its tied to the same sensor and will go off. There is a sensor in the left front hood latch (there might be one on both latches, the latch will have a wire connection). You can try adjusting the latch or just replace the whole unit - easy to find on ebay, etc. There are some good videos on you-tube.

Forgot to add . . . Its usually the front left latch that's the culprit per my Land Rover specialist. Just do a google search for LR3 hood latch and sources will come right up. Same with you-tube search for LR3 hood latch replacement.

Had this same issue. Left latch (passenger side) was it. Potentially the easiest fix i've ever done on the lr3.
