Long time gear head here that has laid hands on a Lot of cars over the years, but when it comes to my Trucks (which have always been a ‘spare’ vehicle), I’ve typically had a V8 powered explorer or a Suburban.
Well owning a Range Rover has always been a bit of a bucket list thing, and I picked up what is probably a borderline dumpster fire of one for less than the amount of money I’ve spent on Tires in the past year.
It’s a 2006 HSE 4.4 in dark blue over cream. Visually it’s not in horrible shape but has clearly had a bit of a rough life. But more importantly, the last owner just shelled out for the entire air ride to be re-done (new bags/shocks/compressor), and new tires.
It has a list of issues, but I’m happy to tackle them as quickly as possible to make this a stout driver and spare car.
