Looks like the plug that goes where the receiver hitch can pop into.

If it popped out once, it will probably pop out again. It's not necessary. Most people I've seen don't have one.

If it popped out once, it will probably pop out again. It's not necessary. Most people I've seen don't have one.

Is it necessary? No. Are most missing it? Yes. Does it actually help keep the crud out of the receiver hole so I don't have to scrub it out/lube it to get the hitch receiver in? Yes.

Do I feel like my LR4 would be incomplete without one? Sort of. o_O
