ignition problems

I have a 2000 range rover 4.0 I am having trouble at times with the security system locking, it sometimes clicks when not even in the vehicle, I only have one remote key that has seen better days, My question is: Has anybody had this problem? The security system has locked a few times and without the remote key to reset things I cannot start the vehicle. I would love to totally, and permanently disarm the system, I don't need to set the alarm where I live, The dealer told me that keys that old are not made anymore.
any advice would be apreciated

Give Nathan a call in my Signature, he may be able to help you out. He has access to older keys and may or may not be able to help you figure out how to program them.
