Intro! Firenze in HD

Hey All! Well after being out of my ‘12 full size for a few years, I’m back in a ‘12 Disco with HD. I wish I could tell you about it but I bought it out of state. Price seemed fair and the ppi checked out. So now just need to get her back to NorCal!

All the usual planned overland and camping mods to run my two boys and wife around the Sierra and beyond. Compos and IID coming next week. Guys at Roadside Werx working on services before delivery!

If it has a factory black package, what happened to the load rails on the roof?

When I was looking, I was set on CPO examples. There was a black 2012 at my local dealer, and a firenze red 2013 at a dealer about 2.5 hours away. The dealer with the 2013 was having a hard time selling it and the sales rep strongly insinuated he'd sell it to me for the same price as the 2012 at the local dealer. They both had around the same mileage, and although my 2012 was originally bought late in the model year, it still had a few months less that were left on the CPO warranty than the 2013. So the 2013 was an amazing deal.

Wife vetoed the red. Her car is red and she didn't want us both to have red cars.

My black 2012 has turned out pretty good, especially since the CPO warranty covered the timing chain job. Not sure I'll ever own a black vehicle again, though. So hard to keep it looking clean.

Hey thanks all. The red and black had me, and made going for compos an easy choice. I do not believe this is a factory black package. But...someone did the work exactly as I would have even down to "Disco" on the hood. So, it works for me even if not OEM. Besides, a Gobi rack doesn't need rails!

Mine came from the factory as part of the package on my 2013. Maybe that wasn't the case for 2012's? Was the black design pkg even an option then?

To finish out the package treatment, a satin black finish is applied to newly added extended roof rails.
