On this discussion board and others many people have commented about their LR3 stalling. This scares my wife terribly and is making the LR3 not an option.
I called the Alexandria VA dealer this morning and the service manager stated that stalling *was* a problem under specific conditions but it has been fixed. The fix was in software, not hardware. He stated the stalling only affected some initial units and everything coming from the factory today will not have this problem. Some of the conditions as I understood them were "stop/go traffic", "low engine idle speed", "going from 4th to 3rd".
Please comment on whether newer models have experienced this problem. I hope it is resolved.
He also said that they have a definitive software fix for the cold-start problem that takes down the NAV/Radio. This is still being fixed by the dealer.
