Help! Recently purchased a 2016 Discovery sport and my keyless entry will not work. My vehicle starts just fine and the fob locks/unlocks without issues. But when I pull the handle, nothing happens. Can I turn something on?

We have a Discovery Sport 2016 and don't believe there is anything separate to enable the door handle as opposed to the button on the key fob itself. Does the car lock by touching the lock depression on the handle (not pressing the button on the fob)? We had some similar intermittent issues that were addressed by replacing the fob battery. It is a CR 2032 that you can get almost anywhere for a few dollars. Here is a video on how to replace the fob battery:
