The the LR3/4 under-hood drains seem designed to capture any and all tree debris and store it away in the wheel wells with an idea of future compost. I opened the hood the other day and saw a mouse duck down there so thought I'd better do a deep clean.

Any tricks for keeping junk out of there?

The best but most expensive solution would be to build a garage. The cheapest idea I can think of if I need to park the truck for a few days would be a big bandaid of Saran Wrap over the cowling.

I cut a hole on the plastic right under where the hood drains drop all this junk, but I think an opening somewhere lower, closer to the base of the plastic wheel well liner, where all this debris tend to deposit on would also help. Might be a quick future mod.
