Planing on getting my front runner rack installed with a light bar mounted under the roof rack in between the trucks roof and the rack. Right now I have a couple of options of light bars, but I don’t have many trustworthy reviews to back them up. I’m looking for a straight LED light bar 42-46 inches that’s very cost affective and budget friendly. That being said I don’t want complete crap either. Any ideas of good companies, or anyone that’s done what I’m doing have any suggestions?
Thanks!

I don't have any auxiliary lighting on my LR4, so you can tell me to go pound sand, but I'd give a long thought about mounting lights above the windshield versus on the front bumper. Reflections off the hood at night aren't good, and a bright hood will make it harder to see into the distance.

I agree. I would look at Baja Designs. It isn't about the gross numbers of lumens but rather where useable lumens are placed. Baja Designs stuff is not cheap but it works. Cheap lights tend not to be durable and fail when you need them most.

I got this 25in single row curved bar a while ago and it has been a game changer. Mounts perfectly in the bumper opening and I tied it to the high beam circuit. It blasts a ton of light on a dark empty road, enough to make the eyes of a deer glow in the distance. The bar itself is about $150 or so, make sure you get one with CREE leds.

Highly illegal. Most regulations are written as a certain amount of forward facing lights (also need to be DOT approved). A light bar is way outside this lol. Off road only.

As as side note, I've been pulled over twice now in WV for running the bar. Never fined, always a warning but it is very noticeable when on. In terms of safety, it's worth it to me - just be the only car on the road when you run it.
