So I have been searching the site and found a lot of this topic outdated. Has anyone found a scanner diagnostic tool or software for pc that works best for diagnosis repairs both on and off the road? All opinions are welcome! If there is a more recent thread on this subject please direct me in the rigt direction thanks!

Link to Faultmate posts

Below is a link to posts re the Faultmate out of Cyprus.

There is apparently another unit, less capable, but less money under development but I could not find the link re that one. It is more of a code eraser right now but can make adjustments to the air suspension. The Faultmate does more than the dealer T4 setup as it does not have the inhibits that the dealer setup has.

I used a Beta test unit for this device from GAP Diagnostic. Great and simple device. They have two versions that plug in the OBD port...one that merely controls the EAS suspension. The other version the call the IID Tool, which allows for suspension adjustment, but also allows to read and clear faults and read other information. It utilizes the information display screen on the dashboard. While the IID doesn't do what a Faultmate can do, for the price it provides a very simple way to readjust the suspension so that you can drive permanently with higher clearance if desired, or to make the adjustment just before starting the trail. It has three memories available to store presets.

Found the other link.

This is a link I found re the other analyzer referred to above.

Due to blocking, where the **** are, you have to insert disco3 co uk with periods where the spaces are. It is an informative set of posts, about 6 pages to date.

$1,300.00 a year for updates.

Well the good news is that software can be made to pay, at least for Land Rover.

I will ignore the thought that factory updates are often fixes and instead say that makes the Faultmate cost at about a thousand dollars, software updates included, quite reasonable.

I just bought one. They are adding the ability to reset the service minder as well. I look at it this way...

Service minder reset tool - 90$ from blackbox solutions
Johnson rods - 135$
For another 150$ I can diagnose and perform some adjustments to the computer and it is all in one unit. Not a bad deal. Still in Beta, will post as I play with it. There are some still available. Range Rover Forum
