Hello everyone!

Recently my LR4 started to throw Engine Fan errors, and low frequency repetitive ticking noise appeared (when idling and warmed up).

The engine also sounds similar to diesel and vibrates at idle, however it is a petrol engine, and it's been like this since I bought it 3,000 miles ago. There is no knocking at High RPM and it pulls well. Is this noise normal for SCV6?

I am going to replace the fan/clutch unit, but I was wondering if the rattling noise could be caused by a worn pulley?

Car is 2015 LR4, SCV6 3.0 petrol engine ~80,000 miles

Maybe it is time to do waterpump, cooling houses, belt and pulleys service? (since I am going to remove the fan anyway). Does anyone has recommended service intervals for SCV6?

This is video of warmed up engine, ticking noise sounds like it is coming from the fan (which it seems having troubles to spin?). But I am mostly worried about the engine noise itself (doesn't sound as bad as many timing chain videos)

Looks like the fan clutch has let go, the rattling sound could be the supercharger coupler but would be unrelated to the codes you’ve been getting.
The couplers usually start making noise around 75k miles.

My LR4 (with no supercharger) started making same ticking noise. It's not the pulley nor the water-pump as I've replaced all of those. Curious what this is, but I suspect the fan clutch as well.

Thank you everyone for replies!
I can confirm that the fan and supercharger were source of both noises (low frequency clicking noise is from fan, high frequency knocking noise is from supercharger).
I plan to do complete maintenance (since I have to remove a lot of parts anyway).

Does anyone know where can I find maintenance schedule for SCV6 Discovery 4 (LR4)?

Engine to do list so far:
1. Fan: LR012644 (Hella)
2. Supercharger isolator/coupler: EAT-361506a (http://superchargerparts.com/index....r-isolator-coupling-ls9-lsa-engine-09-53.html)
3. Intake Manifold Gasket: x2 LR041681
4. Throttle Body gasket: LR048165
5. Intercooler To Manifold gasket: LR041680
6. Waterpump kit: LR097165 + LR030593 + LR028136
7. Primary and Secondary Serpentine Belts: LR051263 and LR011327

Questions:
1. Does anyone has (or know where to get) dealership level service manual for 2015 LR4? (primarily for torque values and assembly/disassembly order)
2. What part number, where and how much oil should I get for the supercharger?
3. Are there any pulleys that should also be replaced (together with betls and water pump?)
4. Do I need to replace any of the cooling hoses? (if they are prone to fail I will rather replace them now)

Few links on relevant threads:

2. 3.4 oz. don’t overfill. I made that mistake. Available on eBay. Or Eaton suppliers like superchargersonline.
3. Replace the tensioner pulley. Preferably with a metal wheel. Plastic one broke on me.
You should do the crossovers if you have the old style. I don’t know when they switched to the bettor molds but it was around 15-16.

Thank you everyone for the help with diagnosing. It ended up being the supercharger coupler (broken spring) and fan clutch indeed. Noises dissapeared after I have replaced all of the listed below parts (I decided to do it all while supercharger was removed):
- Supercharger (I found a new one for $500, so decided to replace instead of fixing coupler since I suspected supercharger bearings failing, but they were fine in the end. The coating on rotors has completely flaked off though)
- Waterpump (good idea to do every 100k miles or even less)
- Thermostat (same interval as waterpump)
- Front coolant crossover pipe (old design have flaws which can result in catastrophic failure, rapid loss of coolant and engine overheating all within few minutes)
- Rear coolant crossover pipe (no revised design, but still reports of failing pipes, so good idea to replace, just ~$130 for piece of mind)
- PCV valve (it was torn, the car idles much smoother now)
- Rubber hoses on top of the thermostat
- Spark plugs
- Fan assembly
- Primary belt and supercharger belt
- All belt idler pulleys
- Belt tensioner pulleys (you can buy and replace pulleys on the tensioner for ~$10)

I have posted here about my experience replacing all of the above: https://landroverworld.org/threads/...ater-pump-thermostat-replacement.42027/page-6

The following resources were very helpful finding the correct parts (online catalog), as well as knowing what to do (shop manual):
