So this guy in Orlando has successfully swapped a L322 and a RRS with a turbo LS V8...AND... He has managed to do it so that the dash doesn't light up like a Christmas tree and everything functions as intended. I highly suggest following him in Instagram. Super interesting. His Instagram account is @hungrywelder ... Check this out...

So for anyone who is looking for more power...or has a dead engine...there are options!!! I reached out to him and he is more than willing to talk about it.

I would have so many questions that I wouldn't know where to start.

But if done correctly, that is BAD ASS.

I love our LR4 but if the engine blew this is definitely the route I'd be taking!

Looks Christmas tree like here. Guessing he got it all sorted after this shot.

That would be amazing. Definitely curious on the costs involved on his build. And like @avslash said... I would have no idea where to start. (but am prolly 100k miles away from even considering it.)

Just off the top of my head:

Effects on Terrain Response/rear locker control?
Radiator used? Cooling system adequate?
Same transmission used?
Smog legal in Texas? Can I register it?
HVAC and power steering work normally?
Alternator used and mounting location?
Engine/fuel control system used?

I would love to see this fleshed out over the next year or two. I would look long and hard at this if it could be done in 15K-20K range before I put 5K+ into changing tensioners and chains on a 100K+ mile engine.
