Noticed the tailgate 3rd brake light seemed higher at one end. Whacked it to re-engage presumed clip retainers to no effect. Closer examination shows the plastic brake light unit is glued in place and lifting off at one end. Ordered windshield urethane adhesive and will wait for warmer weather to re-apply.
