I just bought a 2008 LR2 SE. Absolutely love the car. But I am planning on plasti dipping my wheels black and was wondering if anyone has heard of that causing any problems whether it be with any of the sensors or any of the mechanics involved with the wheels themselves. I've plasti dipped the wheels on previous cars but I know the land rovers have very sensitive wheels so I just wanted to get some input on it before I go ahead and do it.

The wheels themselves will be fine as long as you remove it from the vehicle when you do it. Are you taking tires off too? If so be cautious of the TPMS sensors.

As long as the wheels & tires are very clean(use alcohol to prep the surfaces) it will be fine.

Also--don't spend extra time removing tires. Just ensure to spray heavy enough onto tires too, so that when you're done--you can easily remove the plastic-dip from the tires.

If you spray too thin--it will be a pain to remove.
