Hi I’m new to this group and looking for some advice… I have a 2013 V8 LR4, very few issues with it since ownership. Dropped my kids at their play date (engine was off for 20mins after a journey of 30mins). Get back in car press the start ignition button and my dash lights up like a Christmas tree.

I’ve attached pics of all the warnings (4 different warnings and I’m wondering if one has kicked into the next), I drove home with no issues, drives absolutely fine except I cant change suspension height and it’s stuck at low.

I’ve taken it to two garages and run diagnostics and nothing is coming up?

Battery was changed in September, my car hadn’t been pressure washed which both garages asked. I literally don’t know what to do next.

Any words of wisdom from you smart people:)

I assume you're saying that they scanned for trouble codes but there didn't seem to be any stored? I wonder if they were using a sufficiently sophisticated tool for scanning.

I am completely guessing here, but...I seem to remember others saying that failing alternators can cause issues where multiple faults come up at once? It is a strange alternator...not regulated the same way as most alternators I'm used to.

Best of luck and keep us posted!

We’ve seen these symptoms reported on this forum before, but seems like it has had a variety of reported causes. Sometimes battery or alternator, sometimes brake pedal switch, sometimes wheel speed sensor, sometimes real ****** problem - but then you’d really expect a code to be lodged.

With no codes lodged, I’d be inclined to look at the charging system first - as Greiswig suggested. Check your battery by popping the hood and letting it set for about 10 minutes with all systems off. Battery should measure 12.6v+. Anything less likely indicates a problem seeing as you have a new battery. Then, engine running, you should see 14v+, though it might vary depending on load. If less than 14v, try turning on the heater, headlights, radio, etc - see if it gets up to 14v.

A bad brake switch seems to wreak all kinds of havoc as well. Easy repair from what I’ve read, so you might want to look into that next. Should be plenty of posts on here about it, and probably some youtube videos as well.

I second jlglr4's advice. You mentioned a new battery, but probably still worth it to check to make sure you didn't get a defective one. I had a similar problem and it ended up being the alternator for mine. Good luck!

Also ran into a similar situation when I was driving, transmission/gearbox errors, etc. all started going off, turned out my battery was about to die due to the alternator having failed. Put in a new battery to drive the car home, then replaced the alternator, all good now.

Thanks I have another guy suggesting the same, how much did it cost for the alternator if you don’t mind me asking? I think it may be the same for me

Most of us are in the U.S., so your prices will certainly vary.

Here, you can get a Denso alternator for around $425, and the labor shouldn't be too much (maybe an hour, maybe 1.5?) so long as the bolts holding on the skid plate underneath the engine aren't rusted and seized.

It could just one of the fuses is blown. Check the fuse box in the engine bay and the passenger side behind the glove box.
