I started my 2022 Defender one day last week and could not turn the wheel without excessive force. I drove it around the building with it just getting harder and harder to turn the wheel. I turned it off, and went to breakfast. Came out an hour later and the power steering worked perfectly. And has worked perfectly ever since.

The reason I'm posting this is that EVERYTHING on the Defender is operated through the computer and the first step to resolving any issue is to turn it off and remove the keys at least 10 ft from the car for a few minutes; then restart the car and see if the problem is still there. It may very well just have been the boot process skipped a subroutine.

There is an SSM to correct this concern,
Power Steering module has to be reconfigured.
