Hey all. I just pulled the trigger on an LR3 ,2007. Gas 4.4 V8.

I’m going to have a ton of questions as I wrap my head around what I’ve done! For now, can you recommend or share your choice of oil , filter and intervals used for the 4.4 gas v8. Please share your experiences good or bad.

I’m buying from a friend and he has done lots of work on it over the years and is an enthusiast. I wouldn’t have bought it otherwise….but stoked to see if I can keep it running for awhile.

I’ll start with that and see where goes.

Just following the manual would be a good start?
Castrol 5w30, every 7,500 miles.

Or follow your friend's schedule/spec.

Or use whatever GF3 5w30 you like.
Mann, Mahle, Wix filters are good.

Mine is getting higher mileage so I do Castrol GTX every 5k.
And Wix for price/local availability.

Hey you guys.

I have a 2006 Lr3 se. I was trying to unplug the shifter wiring harness from the gear selector and the release bar on the plug broke.

Does anyone know how I can still get it unplugged so I can check for possible corrosion?

Thanks!
