Question on Adaptive Cruise Control Forward Alert

Hi everyone,

I am confused with the term "Forward Alert" on the 2016 ACC. In my 2017 L405 the forward alert warning goes off when I approach a vehicle in front of me and the car senses that I could hit it. For example, the car in front of me is breaking and I'm accelerating. When the system goes off it set of an alarm (rapid beeps) and a large red triangle flashes on the dash.

Is that the same as the LR4 forward alert that comes with ACC?

Basically the same. I believe the L405 adds automatic braking.

Thanks @Rover Range! Indeed, the L405 has automatic braking. I have not dared to test it LOL!

I believe it will apply the brakes if you're above 20 mph, but not enough to prevent a collision.
