Hi everybody. I have a 2018 Discovery HSE. Came out to start the car one day and while backing up realized the image I'm seeing from the back of the vehicle was mysteriously in a 90° position. Figuring there was a gimbal or something else faulty in the camera, and the fact there is only one way to install the camera (it is forced to sit in the correct position and cannot move), I ordered a new one and replaced it. The problem remained.

So now I have two working cameras, but no solution. And weird because the imgage itself is fine, it's just turned sidways. I spoke to two different LR mechanics at two different dealerships and neither of them have heard of this. Obviously, it appears to be a software problem, but I wanted to ask if anyone here has experienced this.

If so, please let me know if you were able to figure it out. Thanks in advance!

Bro mines did the same thing I must have moved the cameras inside its case while I was washing the car. Not sure what we have to do might have to take apart the rear and adjust it. There is not that much info on that.

Looks like mine is a bit different then. Quick question. Did you order the same factory camera and if so is the resolution the same, at night mine is kind of fuzzy not too clear.

Also do you know how to replace the camera I would so appreciate a little advise and guidance to replace mine thank you a million.

Sorry so late getting back, the site doesn't alert me on responses. I've struggled with this for months. I could find nothing online or in the forums about what could be going on. I bought a new camera that matches the part number (but not directly from the dealership which is $500) and which many owners stated works great. I then replaced the camera. Image did not change. I called the dealership and spoke to a mechanic who also said he has never seen this before. I took it to an independent LR shop who told me they have never seen this before. He and an assistant removed the replacement camera and then moved it around to try to figure out how to get the image to line up properly. This was unsuccessful. I asked if this was a software problem and they insisted it was not. As a last resort I may have to spend the 500 just to see if only a camera from the dealership will somehow make a difference. I don't understand why it would, as the camera was working fine until one morning when I got in and backed up to notice the image inexplicably rotated exactly 90°. Very strange.
