The top rear/back, door with the tire, hinge on my 2000 disco II is about to bust. So far it has misaligned my door and cause some rubbing on the locking side of the door. I bought a new hinge from the LR dealer and it's in the process of getting painted to match the color of the disco.

Has anyone tried to replace one? Just looking for some advice before I remove the panels and bolts...
Thanks

This site is great.....

Rear door hinges are a problem that I have experienced a number of times and is usually caused by hanging larger than standard tires, although this is not always the case. Usually, all that needs to be done is to re-align the hinges. I haven't heard of them breaking though.
