An old guy is standing on one side of the street waiting for a break in traffic to cross to the other side. This is a 30MPH double yellow street with no crosswalk. The guy two cars in front of me decides to stop for the pedestrian to cross, the guy in front of me stopped, I stopped and the girl behind me did not. And that is what happens when you ram a Ford Focus into a 7000 lb. Land Rover at 30 MPH

Ouch! Reminds me of when my son totaled my Acura Legend many years ago. No one was hurt as he was just starting up at a light and forget to ascertain that the SUV in front of him was moving. My (former) Legend looked a bit like the car that hit you.

Hopefully everyone is OK?

totaled the Ford? Repair cost ratio to vehicle value, I'm guessing the Ford is at least close to insurance "total" result.

Looks like the removal process may have done more damage to the LR4. Did you try using the air suspension to more gently just lift off from the Ford?

You should have seen the look on the officer's and firemen's face when I lifted the suspension to pull out the LR4

No one was seriously hurt so it's just $$$

Tactical 4x4 is standing by the phone, that rear steel bumper you've always wanted is waiting for you.

Sorry Alex, I can relate... No matter how it happens it always sucks to be in an accident and being deprived of your car for days / weeks while the insurance companies figure it out. Is your car driveable? The most important thing is that nobody got seriously hurt, I guess with a steel rear bumper you could have inflicted even more damage to that poor Ford Accordion (and possibly to the driver.)

Glad to hear no serious injuries (to people). Let's hear it for the stock bumper; it soaked up the Focus pretty nicely.

Did you use the key fob trick to lift the suspension? [emoji3]
