So finally got around to installing my RRS SC brake upgrade.
SS Braided Brake Hoses front and rear
BritPart kit from Lucky8
EBC Sport Rotors front and rear
Rotors are the same size between the RRS and LR4.
EBC 7000 Green Stuff Front Pads
EBC 6000 Green Stuff Rear Pads
09' RRS SC Brembo Calipers Front

While the initial assesment is very positive. I will have to wait a few 100 more miles to asses the true benifits.
However they look amazing!!!

Some before and after pictures :)

These are direct bolt-on. Only need to make sure you source the Brembo pads for the front, and a RRS SC Brake sensor. Everything else is the OEM LR4 fitment.

Any change in diameter with these? Still 19” wheels, I presume? Will compomontives still work?

I have 20" wheels, and this is the minimum size required.
18-19 will not work with these calipers.

I have wanted to do this since I bought my LR4. There are multiple styles of Brembo Calipers depending on the year of RRS. Can you tell me what year your calipers came from?

Thank you!

It says '09 in the opening post. He's since sold his LR4, so not sure he'll be around to answer many questions.

Sorry didn't see the other post.
Yes from and 09' but 06-09 will work.

Yes I sold my LR4, but will still be around.
I am currently working on a similar upgrade to my D5... RRS SVR Calipers ;)

Hi

bringing back this old thread as I got my hands on a set of RRS calipers and after trying to test fit them, I realized they were too tight around the disc...any help would be super appreciated

Make sure you've compressed the pistons completely. Otherwise, the pads will bind on the disc. Likewise, I installed the calipers first, and then installed the pads. It may give you more leverage to compress the pistons with the caliper already installed.

Good luck, and send me a PM if you have any questions. I'll try to help you walk through it.

Also, looking at the picture again, you may have the caliper on the wrong side of knuckle. If I remember correctly, the bolt goes through the caliper and screws into the knuckle. Your picture shows you trying to pass the bolt through the knuckle and screw into the caliper.

Nope, I was wrong. The bolt screws into the caliper.

Did you trim the metal dust shield? That will keep the caliper from aligning correctly
