Story - bought 2005 RR back in 2022. The previous owner put a new battery from Walmart - EverStart H9, 950 CCA 3 month earlier. Year and half after purchase, beginning of 2024 battery died. Took it back to walmart and they replaced under warranty (they have 3 year warranty) and put new. This was Feb 2024.

This April left for extended overseas trip for 40 days. Car was parked in on a street. Upon return battery is dead. Called AAA, they came, jump started it but I could tell that something was off already based on how slow starting was. Took today back to walmart for test, yep - dead.

Supervisor at walmart did replace this time under warranty as well, and now they put EverStart Platinum AGM battery but told me that this was last replacement - if something goes wrong, I have to buy a new battery.

So my question is - what might be something there that causes battery to be dead after a year?

Hi Invisable, You can not leave these vehicle for 40 days without having some for of charge on the battery.

Even as little as a week without driving, can flatten a battery, how often do you drive your RR and when you do drive, how long is each trip.

Yep, two things here. First, the Everstart battery. They are junk. Secondly, like drivesafe says, you can't leave an AGM battery in a car that sits for extended periods of time.
