Sunroof Sticking

Both front and back sunroofs on my 95 disco seem to get stuck when opening. It seems that they try to go back before going up and hit the roof itself. If i apply light pressure up while opening they do just fine....very strange. I used some grease and it helped them slide better...obviously. But I'm still having the hitting problem if no pressure is applied. Any ideas ???

The tracks sound like they are worn out... well it is actually the small bushings the window slides on, but the only replacement is to buy complete assemblies(not cheap) I just stopped using my sun roofs.

You have an answer for everything! I agree that avoiding the use of the sunroof would be the best option at this point in time. however, in case you do decide to replace the sunroof. talk with these guys. (sorry for posting a link)

That would be great if you needed the glass, but this isn't for the mounting hardware/rails.

also it is about a 6 hour job just to get to the rails (you have to remove the complete headliner.
