Hello

I have a 2015 LR4. Looking for advice on towing a heavier travel trailer. Was towing 20’ TT around 4000 dry with no real issues in Colorado. (No WDH) Upgrading to 26’ at 5000 dry and 490 tongue weight dry. Looking at Curt hitch (600-6000) for upgraded tongue weight and AT tires for my 19” wheels… any additional suggestions? Small lift? No rhino ox hitches in stock

You don't need anything different than factory equipment. XL rated tires and the factory hitch. If you don't want the factory hitch, I'd send a message to Safari Guard and see how long until there's are ready too ship.

Thought on the 2015 tongue weight was 770. I must be mistaken but I thought It was increased over the notes 550lb previously stated.

My hitch has 770 stamped on it, but I believe the car manual states a lower weight.

the hitch max load is different than the tongue rating. not sure why it is that way, but it is.

Check out SafariGard. The guy made some improvements to the Rhino OX hitch and made a batch of them and very reasonably priced. I think it was going for $450.
